About Adam
Adam is a chiropractor with a special interest in sports rehabilitation and 16 years of experience. He has completed two university degrees. Adam specialises in a soft tissue technique called Active Release Techniques® (ART) and is one of only a handful of full body certified ART providers in Australia. ART is a soft tissue treatment that is very popular in North America, particularly with professional athletes due to its immediate and long lasting results. Adam is a certified member and specialist instructor of the Swiss DolorClast® Academy, having completed training in the use of various shock wave devices. His book ‘Back Pain: how to build core stability for long-lasting relief’, which he co-authored, was published by Allen & Unwin in 2014.
There are many advantages to being treated by a chiropractor such as Adam. He is a musculoskeletal specialist, meaning his formal study focused on musculoskeletal conditions. All treatments are non-invasive, so there is no use of prescription drugs, injections or scalpels to get you better. The philosophy that Adam follows is to treat the cause, not the symptom. When you resort to taking a pill (analgesics, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxants) for pain, you are treating the symptoms of your condition. When the effects of the medication wear off your symptoms quickly return; however, by treating the cause of your condition he seeks to permanently resolve symptoms so they don’t return in the future.
Conditions that positively respond to our treatments include:
Strained muscles and sprained ligaments
Nerve entrapments (carpal tunnel, sciatica)
