The consultation will still provide you with a diagnosis, prognosis, a list of possible causes, movements and activities to avoid, movements and positions of relief, prescribed exercises, and prescribed supplements. The only difference between a Telehealth consultation and a regular in clinic consultation is the manual therapy. Interesting fact, at a webinar that we recently attended with a very experienced Telehealth physiotherapist, she stated that a recent peer reviewed study had shown the same or better patient outcomes when comparing Telehealth consultations to in clinic consultations with physiotherapists.
Telehealth is our latest service addition and we are excited to bring you this amazing new technology. Telehealth is a digital/online appointment that can be conducted anywhere as long as you have a video camera, microphone and an internet connection. Practically everyone has all of these in their desktop or laptop computers nowadays. However, if you don’t have a computer, chances are you have another device with all these features, and it sits in the palm of your hand; that’s right your mobile phone (at least most mobile phones) has all these capabilities.
So, if you are under a mandatory government lockdown, or you are unable to leave the house for any reason, I urge you to consider a Telehealth consultation. This is a much better option then taking your chances with Doctor Google or watching random online videos which can be dangerous and potentially exacerbate your condition.
If you have any questions or comments regarding any of this please feel free to contact us at and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can book a Telehealth appointment with us here.
